Dorothy has worked for Food $ense for about 5 years and she loves it! Dorothy is your Food $ense educator at Stratton Elementary for Grades 1 & 2, at Bess Herian Elementary for Grades 1-3, and for Selkirk Elementary she teaches Grades 1-6. Dorothy also works with the Kalispel Tribal Preschool Program.

Gretchen Koenig, Food $ense Educator, lhemphill@wsu.edu

 

Gretchen has taught with Food $ense for about 3 years and she especially enjoys the gardening aspect of healthy eating. Gretchen is your Food $ense educator at Stratton Elementary for Grades 3 & 4, at Sadie Halstead Middle School for Grades 5 & 6, and for Bess Herian Elemntary for Grades 4-6. Gretchen also works with the Kalispel Tribal School Age Center Program.

Margaret Melampy, Food $ense Educator, lhemphill@wsu.edu

 

Margaret has just joined our staff this year and she is very excited about the program! She will be the nutrition source for the Newport Food Bank conducting nutrition demonstrations once a month, focusing on the foods available to recipients during that time period. Margaret also works with the Kalispel Tribal Camas Youth Program providing nutrition information teen age youth members.
